Motorists in Watervliet’s Uptown area could encounter brief traffic delays during catch basin cleaning scheduled to begin Nov. 4, according to a city notice.
The Department of Public Works plans to begin at 19th Street and Grotto. The announced route then calls for crews to work south from 24th Street.
With workers and equipment expected in the roadway, the city advises drivers to travel cautiously around the operation. It also asks motorists to avoid parking directly over catch basins or alongside them when possible, leaving room for crews to reach them.
