518News is an independent local-news platform covering communities across New York’s 518 area code, including the Capital Region and surrounding counties.
We are developing advertising opportunities for businesses and organizations that want to connect with readers interested in local news, government, public safety, events and community information.
Local advertising opportunities
Our goal is to offer advertising that is clearly identified, relevant and respectful of the reading experience. We favor a clean website with sensible ad placement rather than excessive advertisements that interrupt articles.
Who can advertise?
We welcome inquiries from local businesses, service providers, community organizations and other advertisers interested in reaching readers throughout the 518 region.
Advertising inquiries
Advertising formats, availability and pricing are being developed. To discuss opportunities, contact 518News and select Advertising inquiry from the form.
Advertising does not purchase favorable editorial coverage. News and editorial decisions remain separate from advertising relationships.
